1987 Buick GNX

Listing No.: 50469
Model: 1987 Buick Regal
Price: SOLD!

Buick planned on retiring the Grand National after 1987. Wanting to go out with a bang, GM brass sent out 547 of them to racing legend ASC/McLaren, to build something really special, which became the 1987 Buick Regal GNX (Grand National Xperimental). ASC/McLaren installed a bigger turbo, new ECM, better suspension components, and special gauges. The net result from these improvements amounted to 276 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque. When this car hit the streets, it was quicker than a Ferrari F40 and did the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds at 113 mph. This example is number 511 of 547. It has only 6,600 miles on the odometer, is completely stock, and even has the original wheels and tires. It has never been 'chipped' or raced and remains bone stock. It starts right up, shifts crisp and sounds great (please note; there are 3 small dings noted in the pictures). Additionally, the tail light extension is showing a little bit of warping. Even with these easily correctable issues, the rest of the car is perfect. (PLEASE NOTEAll previous issues have been corrected as of 1/2021) Here is an opportunity to have one of the baddest street cars of the eighties with mileage low enough that you can get out and enjoy it. This era of cars have been strong performers of late and this very rare 1987 Buick Regal GNX is coming along at the right time to prove itself a worthy investment. Reasonable offers considered.
