This beautiful 1970 Chevy Chevelle is a complete, frame off rotisserie restoration. Its since been in three car shows and won first place all three times!

During restoration, every nut and bolt was either restored or replaced with OEM original or remanufactured parts. The vehicle was meticulously painted silver and black, with extra coats applied.

This 1970 Chevelle SS 396 has the Original Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 2600 RPM torque converter. The engine is not original, but is a period correct 396. An external vacuum pump was added to insure proper operation of the power brake system.

The current owner has been using the same shop in Houston for over 30 years. They performed a complete rebuild of the engine, including boiling the block, boring and installing new Speed Pro pistons, and 280 hydraulic cam. The Edelbrock Performer intake has a 750 cfm carb on top. Hooker headers are ceramic coated and the stainless exhaust system with Flowmasters and the correct tips are brand new. It is designed to run on 92 octane pump gas.

This Chevelle comes with power steering, power front disc brakes, a tilt wheel, air conditioning, center console, bucket seats, horseshoe shifter, dash pad, seat padding and seat covers.

A new vinyl top was installed as well as a headliner. Under the carpet, Dynamat insulation was installed for better sound deadening. A RetroSound radio producing 200 watts looks very original, but comes with a remote and matching Pioneer speakers. All the interior is new, the only original components are the seat frames and springs.

The chrome is original as well as the glass. The exterior chrome has been carefully hand polished. The original rear end was completely dismantled, cleaned, painted and put together with new splines. The original springs are in excellent shape and still on the car, along with new Bilstein shocks.

She sits on Crager SS wheels and 60s on the front and 50s on the back.

The original gauge shows 43K miles and it has been about 650 miles since the restoration. The original gauge cluster and AC system goes with the car, as well as a copy of the photo album.

This “show winner” Chevelle is located in Houston, Texas and available for inspection.
