In 1964 Lee Iacocca commissioned one hundred and ninety Indy 500 Pace Car Mustang coupes to be supplied to key Ford dealers as part of an incentive program, and to commemorate Mustang's appearance as the Indianapolis 500 official pace car for 1964. This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe is of one of those early '65 Mustang models (a.k.a. "64 1/2") that were part of the promotion. It has been fully restored and is in concours condition with "Pace Car White" paint, white upholstery, dark blue carpet, and AM radio. The original "F" code 260 C. I. V-8, C4 automatic transmission, and 3:00 to 1 rear differential are still in the car. The only option on this 1964 Mustang is back up lights. It has been a show car for the last several years and has only 25 miles on the odometer since it's restoration. All the major components are original to the car and replacement parts are neither NOS nor concours reproductions. Here's a chance to own one of the famous 1964 Mustangs.
